Yesterday I received the first season of Cheyenne. I got it for about $12 from Amazon.com. Check it out, maybe that sale is still going on. I also got the 2-disc new edition of Miracle on 34th Street.

Today was a super day...I received the 4-disc set of the two Superman serials starring Kirk Alyn and I also received the 14-disc set of Superman: Ultimate Collector's Edition.

Picked up Superman The Theatrical Serials Collection. Was pleasantly surprised to find it locally at both Wal-Mart and Circuit City.

Also picked up Superman Returns. Got the single disc edition as the extras on the 2 disc edition didn't sound like they were worth the $11 difference in price. I was shopping on the other side of town so I bought the DVD from that Wal-Mart. When I got it home the DVD was damaged. Rather than run all the way across town I returned it to the Wal-Mart on this side of town. Turns out the same title was $2 more on this side of town. They managed to get it straightened out without charging me any extra. So I can't complain all that much.

This week I'm picking up Red Planet Mars, Charlie Chan Vol. 2, The OH in Ohio, and TCM Archives: Forbidden Hollywood Collection, Vol. 1. I have asked Santy Claus to bring me those Walt Disney Legacy Collections.

Just received Superboy the 1st season from Amazon.com. Came with a free ticket to Superman Returns which doesn't do me any good since Superman Returns is no longer in theaters. Amazon.com had a good price. Plus adding it to some books I wanted brought the order above $25 needed to qualify for free shipping.

I got 3 TV sets this week including the final season of The Andy Griffith Show. That's the only one that can be considered on the classic side. I now have every Andy episode. They also came out with Gomer Pyle this week but I'm not interested in that.

As well as getting the Disney True Life Adventures sets, I got Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Mission Impossible: Season 1 plus the entire first season of the PBS Legends of Jazz TV shows. (With my nom de 'Net, you don't think I'd miss those, do you?)

My wife told me the Mission Impossible Season 1 was sold out at our local Best Buy, but this might be a Christmas present diversion fib.

Hmmm...my wife told me that the FORBIDDEN PLANET Special Edition tin is sold out everywhere, too. Now I wonder...

Picked up My Super Ex-Girlfriend. As happened when it aired theatrically this one seems to be a little lost in the shuffle. Recommend you at least rent this one.

I have that on order. It's one of 3 super-heroic DVDs coming my way, along with Justice League Unlimited and the first season of Superboy.

This is the week for the four new Disney Treasures (the ones in the tins) and I still haven't picked up the second Will Rogers boxed set (didn't find it in the 3 stores I looked for it; they only had Vol. 1. Anybody seen it?).
