Gave my daughter-in-law your web address and a LONG list of possibilities.
She actually surprised me by going to the bottom of the list rather than pull off the top. I didn't have anything in any particular order, but I would think the natural impulse is to start at the top.

My Jungle Jim collection now includes 3 disks of radio MP3s, the complete set of movies and the tv series.

Yes, I'm enjoying them. I'll be ordering more from you soon, but the inundation of DVD's for Christmas has giving me viewing for a couple months.

Hey I happen to think War of the Worlds was a good TV show.

Oh, you mean Jaws 3. Mainly because it was cheap and I'd never seen it. Certainly nowhere near as good as the first 2 I still think it is better than the truly dreadful Jaws: The Revenge.

Today I received the final season of "Ellen" plus a 2-disc release of Ellen's talk show. Watched a movie I surprisingly hadn't watched before, Finding Nemo. So now I've watched two movies this year and both were made by Pixar (the other being The Incredibles which I had seen earlier in a theater). Hmmm, maybe I should watch all my Pixar films before I watch anything else?

My only purchase this week was the finally found Will Rogers Collection, Vol. 2.

I decided to order yesterday the first season of "The Twilight Zone"...this is the version that came out in the 1980s. I think the opening and closing narrations were by Charles Aidman who had actually appeared in at least one episode of the original versioin. These are a bit pricey, $62.99 each season set from Amazon.com but I ordered one from one of the Marketplace selelrs so I'm getting that for about $45. If I like the quality, I'll probably later spring for the second set which is a combined seasons 2-3 set....

Just got Sixteen Candles. My brother bought a copy and then realized he already had it. So he gave me the second copy. For one reason or another I've occasionally ended up with a copy I've given away to friends or relatives. Nice to see it going the other way for a change.

Very funny movie, Sixteen Candles.

This week's purchases were all new, the features Idiocracy and The Illusionist and the TV show Extras: Complete First Season.

I am also a Candles fan, but haven't grabbed the disc yet. Must have slipped under the Bat-dar.

I haven't picked up any DVDs since Christmas (felt guilty spending any money), but I will rectify that next week with THE ILLUSIONIST. Hopefully, LG will have his review of the flick posted soon. I will pick the movie up, regardless, but I am curious to see what he thinks.

The one thing I got this week was that first season set of The New Twilight Zone (the one from the 1980s) that I mentioned above. I've now ordered the other set which contains seasons 2-3.

I had another item on order from an independent seller but the movie I ordered (Hero At Large with John Ritter) was returned to them as mail-damaged so I got a refund. Perhaps I'll try ordering it again sometime.

A bunch of film noir arrived today, courtesy VCI; looking forward to these, and will get reviews up. I think I'll start with Paid to Kill with Dane Clark.

Borders was having a sale, and I had "frequent flyer" points from there, so for a cheap price I procured the Dean Martin double feature Who was that Lady? and How to Save a Marriage (and Ruin your Life), plus Bonnie & Clyde, The Court Jester with Danny Kaye, and the American Slapstick collection.

Didn't really have any purchase plans today. But while I was in town anyway I stopped by Circuit City. Ended up getting The War Wagon, Pretty in Pink, and Frankenfish. Imagine how bad it would have been if I had planned on buying something.

Yeah, I had to hit Best Buy for some computer doodad and naturally needed to make an impulse DVD buy. I ended up with a new one, sherrybaby starring Maggie Gyllenhaal. I've heard it's excellent.

Arrived in the mail today: Don't Knock the Rock/Rock Around the Clock and Don't Knock the Twist/Twist Around the Clock. Waahoo!

Picked up the 2 disc edition of Flyboys. Haven't watched yet but it appears to have a nice set of extras.
