I ordered some more stuff from Grapevine, the "new" Doug Fairbanks double feature and the Pearl White miscellany. Will report when I get around to them. |

I didn't know there was one sequel, let alone two, for a movie that really doesn't warrant a follow-up. They did live "happily ever after", people, which kinda says it all. |

Cinderella II was one of those Disney sequels where they take a number of short stories (usually 3) and have a wrapper story to kind of sort a tie the stories together. Cinderella III is a feature in which The Wicked Stepmother gets control of The Fairy Godmother's magic wand and goes back in time to keep Cinderella from marrying The Prince. As direct to video sequels of Disney classics go this one is fairly decent. |

Speaking of Grapevine, I see they have a couple of William S. Hart titles I don't have so I should consider getting those. There's also a G.M. "Broncho Billy" Anderson DVD available I might consider getting from a company called Unknown Video. This movie (I think it's called "The Son Of A Gun!") is actually a feature-length film...well, a short film, we're not talking D.W. Griffith feature length here... |

Took a chance on another animated film this week. Picked up Happily N'Ever After. When they stopped the opening scene and started talking directly to the audience I questioned taking that chance. However despite what is usually a poor sign it turned out to be an entertaining film. It does have a PG rating and a few somewhat adult references. But I didn't really find anything in there objectionable for a child. |

I found out yesterday that Time-Life is starting to release a line of DVDs of The Best of The Jimmy Dean Show. I remember really liking that show so I decided to go ahead and order the first disc even though (according to Amazon.com) it's only 58 minutes long. Rowlf the Muppet is in there for about 20 minutes from what I understand and he was always my favorite part of the show. |

Picked up both of the Secret Agent X-9 serials, from VCI, as well as Brute Force from Criterion. |

KanSmiley Could you give me a clue about the Nancy Drew movies? I have been contemplating getting them for my step-daughter as she enjoyed the TV version that was recently released. I presume these are the ones with Bonita? Best Paladin |

Let's see... This week, I got the Renoir set, the three Fox classics (Jane Eyre, Les Miserables, and Anna Karenina), the Cagney set, and the Ozzie & Harriet collection. |

For Paladin: I don’t know what Trevor has to offer, but Warners is releasing all 4 of the Bonita Nancy Drews on 6/12 as a tie-in to a new Nancy Drew feature. I hope everyone will support this release, especially considering that one of them is PD. Otherwise, we can hardly expect the complete Torchy Blane, Maisie, and Brass Bancroft on DVD. |

Great news, Frank, and I agree 100%; we must support studio releases of this type of product over that of the grey-market, otherwise studios won't bother to release more in the future. |
