I haven't got my copy yet, but I did receive an e-mail that it's on the way!

Tom & Jerry Vol. 3 was released today. It is allegedly supposed to complete the original Hanna-Barbera 1940-58 run, but it is missing two titles: "Mouse Cleaning" and "Casanova Cat".

I won't be getting it, but thought it was worth mentioning.

They were all waiting for me when I got home today. That's a freakin' LOT of cult movies to watch. And Tom & Jerry cartoons, which I don't really care for.

Well today I picked up Sci Fi collection volume 2, Alien Nation 5 film series (another Best Buy exclusive) and I know this may seem silly but the second season of Supernatural (what can I say I am a sucker for Xfile type shows)

Fortunately the Alien Nation set is an exclusive early release, meaning it will be universally available later.

When you cash in your change at one o' them Coinstar machines at supermarkets, they charge you about 9%. Unless you opt for an amazon.com certificate, in which case they charge you zero. So, full piggybank in hand, I shlepped down there and dumped the last several mos.' worth of pocket change in there, and scored about $92. Well, amazon is having a TV-on-DVD sale this month, so I just came home and hurriedly (before they changed their mind)ordered The Avengers: Complete Emma Peel Megaset for $84 (SRP $179). Which I got for my certificate, and still have $7 in credits.

Life IS good. And Mrs. Peel... We're needed!

Just picked up The Poseidon Adventure. No not the original and not the recent Poseidon. This one is a Hallmark remake starring Rutger Hauer and Peter Weller.

Well, amazon is having a TV-on-DVD sale this month, so I just came home and hurriedly (before they changed their mind)ordered The Avengers: Complete Emma Peel Megaset

I know what of you speak, and I have my own tale of Amazon woe.

Yesterday, I was glancing at DVD Price Search, a wonderful search engine (www.dvdpricesearch.com) that lets you know where to find DVDs at the lowest prices (well, more or less). I rifled through some of the specials and discovered that Amazon was selling one of my favorite Jimmy Stewart-Anthony Mann westerns, The Naked Spur (1953), for $7.99.

I've been wanting this one for a while, and the price is right, Mr. Barker. So I add it to my cart. On the way, I check my Wish List and see that two other DVDs I've been wanting, Cap'n Crunch & Friends and Laurel & Hardy's Laughing 20's, are now in stock--9.99 apiece. Yes, I'll have those, too.

Well, in checking out; I must have screwed up monumentally because I kept looking for the e-mail that scolds me: "You're buying too many DVDs!" and never got it. Apparently, I had some sort of brain fart and neglected to click the "buy" button. I know this because I clicked on my cart later that evening, and there were my items from this morning...only now, both Crunch and Laughing were priced at 12.99.

I went ahead and bought 'em. But that doesn't make me feel any less stupid.

A big week for me....

I purchased the Best Buy Sci-Fi set...the Midnight Movies combo of "Return of Dracula" and "The Vampire"... Volume 3 of Tom and Jerry (for the same reason as Gravy. The grandkids love them)...Season 2 of "McHale's Navy" and the Fox double disc of the 1925 and 1960 versions of "The Lost World".
A Barnes and Noble gift card netted me "The Matt Helm Lounge" set featuring all 4 of the Dino series.

For Mrs. K...Season 1 of "Two and a Half Men" and Season 3 of "Grey's Anatomy". She'll be watching those by herself.
