Damn, are YOU gonna have a great weekend. I implore you, Tim -- one chapter a week for Flash! That way, you'll have FORTY weeks of fun! In other words, you start Flash Gordon tonight and watch a chapter every Friday night and every Friday night only, and you've got Flash on tap until Sept. 19, 2008. Man, what could be more fun than THAT?!?!? P.S. Our FNF gang is starting Flash Gordon in January... If you wanna wait 'til then and follow along, that's okay, too... |

What if I become a Flash junkie......will once a week do ???? My son (12 years) is hyped for the serials. I watched the first hour of Cadavra this am and I think he'll enjoy THAT as well. |

The bonus material on Cadavra is wonderful, too. Check out that trailer, and enjoy the music on it! You're gonna recognize it for sure. *doing the Animala dance around his office* My kids became serial junkies watching Flash Gordon. |

Then you could get the Alex Raymond reprint books. There were no daily strips; so, this is a one dose per week, too. Still, together they give you two Flashes per week.

I bought an almost complete set of The Mudders-in-Law (fifty-three outta fifty-six telecasts) this week, the one with Eve Arden and Kaye Ballard. Also bought an almost complete set of Please Don't Eat the Daisies (55 out of 58), which wasn't nearly as good, quality-wise (and most of them were culled from Turner South repeats). As a fan of vintage television, I buy a lot of old TV episodes from various sources. In addition to the M Squad discs discussed in another thread, I wound up with a few Pete and Gladys', some NYPD's and a few I'm Dickens...He's Fenster's. On the legitimate front, Rawhide: Season 2, Volume 2 and The Best of Checkmate: Season 1 have found a home at Rancho Yesteryear, as well as the highly touted The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra. I rounded out this week's purchases with some offerings from Nostalgia Family Video: 1984 (the 1956 version with TDOY fave Jan Sterling), The Gracie Allen Murder Case (with "Fido" Vance), Way Out West and The Cat and the Canary (the Bob Hope version). (I have the Region 2 disc of Canary, but it's got a big honkin' scratch that hinders anyone watching the last few minutes of the film.) |

found 6 episodes of Rocky Jones Space Ranger for only a single dollar bill......and on the collectors front a copy of "Palm Springs Weekend" with Troy Donahue, Connie Stevens and Jerry Van Dyke...this has not popped up on television in many years (but it was on VHS for a short stint) |

I got the Ford at Fox set this week -- paid $166 for it with a coupon at Costco. I'm going to quit Netflix for a while and just watch all the cool stuff I've bought. Like Gravy. |

I used to watch The Mothers-in-Law! One of the episodes features Desi Arnaz as a bullfighter; I think he also produced the series. It's the only post-Lucy thing I recall seeing him in! And when I was a kid, I had a BIG crush on Pat Crowley and loved that Daisies show, too! Today, I got a great DVD-R from Balconeer Thad with 16 rare Terrytoons and other great stuff on it. |

With the purchase of Bladerunner (a gift for somebody) at Best Buy I got the Director's Cut edition of THX 1138 for five bucks. That one's for me. |

Inspector Carr: Regarding The Wire a 5th and final season is in the can having just been completed. The storyline or part thereof is about the local Baltimore Newspaper and Marlowe who took over the Drug trade from Barksdale. Sorry to see it end but it's been a good ride. Barcroft |
