Wal-Mart is having a Fathers Day promotion with 2 DVD's bundled together for $10.

I was able to pick up the two Gary Cooper releases (MAN OF THE WEST and THE WESTERNER) for $10.00. Two new MGM titles for $5 each....I almost picked both of these up at another store for $12.95 each earlier today. I'm glad I waited!

Also picked up a double DVD set from Wal-Mart's Fathers Day promotion. In my case the Elvis movies King Creole and G.I. Blues. Not my first or second or third choice of Elvis movies. But the $10 price tag finally hooked me.

While in town I also stopped by CostCo and picked up The Major and the Minor and She Done Me Wrong bundled together for $12.99

It's been in my new mailbox for about a week, but I finally retrieved Bewitched: The Complete Sixth Season with my new key. (Yes, this is--as Gravy puts it--"the year that Samantha used her magic to change Dick York into Dick Sargent.")

Yesterday I received the new 2-disc edition of The Big Trail but haven't had time to check it out yet. I also got the much more recent film Something To Talk About starring Julia Roberts...

I received a pair of TV sets today...the first season of The Bill Engvall Show which oddly enough stars Bill Engvall...Nancy Travis plays his wife in this series from TBS. This first season set consists of all of 8 episodes. I also got the one and only season/series set of Square Pegs, a sitcom that was Sarah Jessica Parker's first series. I also have the third season of The Muppet Show coming and it might arrive tomorrow. Wacka wacka wacka!

Well, I did get that 3rd season of The Muppet Show today. That gives me an idea for a poll question...which Muppet should be the cover subject for season 4? So far they've used Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear. I vote for Rowlf...other possibilities would be Animal, Gonzo, the Swedish Chef, Scooter and those great hecklers, Statler & Waldorf...

I have arrived home to find waiting for me the Criterion Eclipse "Delirious Fictions of William Klein" with Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?, Mr. Freedom, and The Model Couple, plus some other things I'll discuss over on the serial board.

I won Criterion's "Complete Mr. Arkadin" on ebay, and I purchased the "Ultimate Rat Pack" box set.
