Anybody ever see a series called Mutant X? An online friend sent me a bunch of discs of this series after picking up a complete series set of it. It aired up to a few years ago, I think, and the concept sounds similar to X-Men. It's even based on characters from Marvel Comics. The only actor in it I'm familiar with in it is John Shea who played Lex Luthor in the Lois & Clark series.

I've see a few episodes which I enjoyed. Unfortunately it came out on DVD just as the transition to season sets was occurring. It also starred Victoria Pratt from Cleopatra 2525. Also the TV show Mutant X is different from the comic. The comic is a reimagining of The X-Men. The TV show has different characters who have been genetically engineered by a biotech firm.

Just curious is your friends set from the studio? The reason I ask is that the official complete series set is supposed to be released in October.

These are official releases...but they're the old 1 or 2 discs at a time deal. He's sent me these because he's getting that complete series set that's coming out.
