I've just purchased the American Gangster Steel book off Play.Com at £9.99.

Has anyone ever purchased something and found that a disc was missing?

I've had to do numerous e-mails to HMV.Com and it looks like they are messing around abit. With the current financial atmosphere, I expect this, but that hasn't stopped me from emailing them with a very negative, extortive and bribing tone.

Only once that I recall -- and oddly enough, it was a Laurel & Hardy DVD from Germany. To my surprise, amazon.de sent me a replacement almost instantly.

I ordered a movie serial from AC Comics through my comics shop once and when I got it...BOTH discs were missing! Luckily, my comics shop was able to re-order it and get me the discs the second time.

Wow, I have ordered about 5 of AC's serials, through my comic shop, and never had that problem!

When AC Comics sends me DVDs, they send them in little white packets with the case separately so that the discs don't come loose during shipping. A good plan.

That's how they are shipped to the comic store, too. A great idea.

I like that idea a lot.

Big day today!

First, Eclipse Series 12 brought Aki Kaurismaki's Proletariat Trilogy, with Shadows in Paradise (1986), Ariel (1988), and The Match Factory Girl (1990).

Then came from Columbia five "Martini Movies", including The Garment Jungle, Affair in Trinidad, $ (Dollars), The New Centurions, and The Anderson Tapes.

I just picked up Iron Man yesterday (2-disc version, of course). Don't worry, Bats, I'll get your latest movie, too, when it comes out :P

Picked up Iron Man. For me the 2 disc version wasn't "of course." With the DVD purchases I have planned for the rest of the year and typically some impulse purchases I decided the 2 disc version wasn't worth the extra $10.

I got the 2-disc Iron Man, plus Huckleberry Hound Vol. 1 and A Streetcar Named Desire!
