At lunch today I thought I'd stop by Big Lots to see if there were any cheap Halloween flicks there. There were 2 and a whole buncha other stuff, so for a buck each I got....

My Dear secretary w/Kirk Douglas .... Mr Moto's Last warning w/Peter Lorre .... Sherlock Holmes And The Secret weapon w/Basil Rathbone (All on 1 disc)

Something To Sing About w/James Cagney .... Royal Wedding w/Fred Astaire .... Penny Serenade w/Cary Grant (1 disc)

The Big Trees w/Kirk Douglas .... Vengeance Valley w/Burt Lancaster .... Angel And The Bad man w/John Wayne (1)

4 Charlie Chaplin shorts (The Adventurer; The Cure; Easy Street and The Immigrant .... College w/Buster Keaton .... An episode of The Red Skelton Show (1)

The Man With The Golden Arm w/Frank Sinatra .... D.O.A. w/Edmund O'Brien .... David Copperfield w/Sir Lawrence Olivier (1)

Gung Ho w/Robert Mitchum .... Great St. Louis Bank Robbery w/Steve McQueen .... Master Touch w/Kirk Douglas (1)

Chameleon w/Lee van Cleef .... One-Eyed Jacks w/Marlon Brando .... Under California Stars w/Roy Rogers (1)

Beat The Devil w/Humphrey Bogart .... The Big Lift w/Montgomery Clift .... My Man Godfrey W/William Powell (worth a buck any day of the week) (1)

The Following were 3 bucks a piece and all are MGM Presents, but one....

Count Yorga Vampire w/Robert Quarry

The Apartment w/Jack Lemmon

Shadows And Fog w/Woody Allen

A Bucket Of Blood w/nobody I know, but Dick Miller get top billing on the back of da box

l'enfant w/some French folks. Hey, it won the Palme d'Or in 2005, so what the hell, I can drink away 3 bucks pretty quickly!

On Tuesday when I bought Iron Man I mentioned the possibility (Well alright the certainty) of impulse purchases. Well here it is Friday and while grocery shopping at Wal-Mart I spotted a DVD of the Elvis film Frankie and Johnny and some how it ended up in my shopping cart.

Are these new releases, LG? I did not see them on the Balcony DVD Release Board. Are there any more in the series?

They are new, they were Best Buy exclusives released in September, and there are no other new ones.

This arrived in the mail today...

The Twilight Zone: The Complete Definitive Collectiion

Apart from shows that came out in short complete collections (like The Critic or the Stockard Channing show), this is the first time I've bought a complete series collection. This was on sale last week at Amazon.com. :P

Ahhh...the good ol' Best Buy exclusive. I'll wait until they are available every where else later...and cheaper.

Thanks, for the info, LG.

Received Courage Mountain and Casablanca Express from Amazon today. I already had Casablanca Express as part of a double feature $1 DVD but the DVD was defective. For $1 it wasn't even worth a trip back to the store to exchange it.
