I had to re-buy Kingdom of Heaven. The two disc version that I currently have has gone funny after its two year wait to be re-watched. I picked up the new four disc version, with added scenes re-introduced.

Found one copy of Dr. Syn at the local Costco today. Hadn't planned on getting it - I only hazily remember watching it on Disney way back when so I passed it up at pre-order time. But with all the hoo-roar over it selling out I decided what the hey. Also picked up the Warner Cagney and Crawford sets for a piddling 17 smackers per. And a 3-pack of Harryhausen Sinbads for $14.

Murnau, Borzage, Fox, and Gravy. What a set!

P.S. Did you know that it's pronounced "bore-ZAY-ghee"?

Yes, because he was interviewed by C. B. DeMille on the 4/5/37 Lux Radio Theatre show, “A Farewell to Arms”.

Given the economy, it took some daring to release this set. I hope it isn’t a big flop-eroo.

Excitement builds about next year’s Fox Box: Raoul Walsh? Allan Dwan? Harry Lachman? James Tinling?

Well, in 1937 I was still living in heaven.

If I get a vote, I pick Raoul.

I'll go with Dwan if some of his silent films are included.

Picked up the single DVD edition of The Dark Night. Mainly I didn't think the 2 disc version had enough extras to justify an additional $10. But I also remembered how difficult it was to navigate the second disc on the Batman Begins 2 disc set.

I've finally purchased that massive eighteen disc boxset of Marlene Dietrich off Play at £49.99. The collection includes Destry Rides Again and Touch of Evil.
