A package from the UK: 2 by Lubitsch: Desire & Angel; Coppola juvenilia: Dementia 13; and Shanghai Express. Watched Dementia last night -- they restored a few scenes and the plotline makes a little more sense, but many exteriors are still overexposed -- don't suppose there's much you can do about that.

The Fox Murnau/Borzage box is on its way.

Shaping up as a good Christmas after all.

Picked up The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer. My nephew hasn't seen either of the first two movies. So we'll be watching them first.

The little grocery store on the corner had the Steve McQueen TV series Wanted: Dead or Alive, complete first season, for only $12.99. I bought it.

Well, taking advantage of the rotten economy to shop at a going-out-of-business DVD/book sale, I picked up an Arthur Treacher double-feature of Thank You Jeeves (1936) and Step Lively, Jeeves (1937, and alas, they didn't come with fish 'n' chips) and the blu-ray 7th Voyage of Sinbad.

A copy of the 1977 prison flick Short Eyes arrived in the mailbox today. I picked it up at half.com for, as The Great One once said, "a mere bag of shells."

I know its not a man thing, but I had to get the Kelly Brook and Flavia Cacace workout DVD. I've got most of the others that are hot. I guess I must seem a little strange.

I picked up National Treasure 2 and A Very British Gangster. The gangster flick is about one of the UK's biggest and most violent firms, the Noonan gang from Manchester. Can't wait to see it.
