I don't buy stuff that's always on TV. You know that. The thing about Lewis was, you never knew what weird thing he would do next, especially on TV. He had absolutely no taste at all, good, bad or indifferent. Either you like that or it disgusts you.

Hey, Mr. G, you wanna borrow The Mark of Zorro or Wild and Wooley for FNF? They'd heart it!

I've shown Zorro and as for the other, maybe next year. We're booked for this season! But thanks!

Yes, Mr. Bat, I did receive the set and it exceeds my already monumental expectations. The two wonderful books were the big surprise -- better than the Ford book last year! Today was another banner day at Castle Panzer. Dave Shepard's fantastic new Fairbanks set came as did the Eclipse Rossellini box, The Criterion Rise to Power of Louis XIV (with new subtitles but no great extras), and Baz Luhrman's Aussie opera production of La Boheme. It's going to be a banner afternoon and night around here. These aren't what the Grand Duchess likes so I'll have the living room to myself -- can whoop and holler to my heart's content.
Thanks for the update, Mr. P.

I, too, picked up Rise to Power of Louis XIV . A good week at the Batcave.

I OWN a copy of The Teacher. It has Dennis The Menace in it. I shoulda been drawn and quartered for buying it.

Not drawn and quartered, Stony, nickled and dimed. Stuff like that isn't worth having even at a quarter a title. Life is too short and shelves too scarce. Mr. G, if you end up liking any of those movies, we want to hear about it!
