What a stupid idea, to take a cartoon series that has not been on in years and revive it for an audience who never heard of Underdog.
I was a fan of the original series with Wally Cox as the voice of Underdog and the series was a great spoof of superheroes.
Man this is going to be BAD!
A wet spot on the carpet of movies!
BOW WOWWWW!

They've done it before and they'll do it again. Remember George of the Jungle? What a horrible movie! I can't see how Underdog would even have a chance of being pulled off.

This is one of those pictures that I look at the trailer for and think, "It can't POSSIBLY be as bad as looks, could it?"

Hey B Man . . . aren't you being too harsh? I thought the original George of the Jungle movie was a very well done, right-on parody of the cartoon show.
Decent story, effects, actors in the right parts and laugh out loud funny. I thought "this is how a spoof should be done."
And that ending holding up his son ala The Lion King was pure genius.

If you want to see the Underdog trilers just go to youtube and type in Underdog.
The worst thing is Jason Lee doing the voice of Underdog, no replacement for the late Wally Cox at all.
Just more of the gibberish thats replacing the English language on TV and the Movies.
   :( <_<

Nothing at all.
Except I has a preferance for actors who speak english , and dont need subtitles to be understood. Thats just me I guess as he seems to be popular.
Then theres a lot of shows where the popular vernacular has overtaken proper english.A shame.

And I see that hes going to take over the role of David Seville in a reincarnation of the Chipmunks!
The mind boggles and the fans of the Original Chipmunks pray for a bomb.
I wish they would think of something original in Hollywood.
And leave the good things the hell alone.

Yeah, definitely not the first time it has be done, and done badly. This thread makes me wonder which is the worst of these adaptations out there. Think I'll start a poll...

Bad idea for a movie, but Lee is actually a very bright guy and a good actor. I assume you're only basing your opinion of him on My Name Is Earl, and your remarks about "needing subtitles" are based on the character that he's playing and not the man himself.

True enough and I assume that the characters meant to talk that way.
Although in the clip I saw of Underdog , he was speaking in that slangish sort of English that prevails today.
I just prefer Wally Cox.
But you have to make films for the young and that way of speaking is the way they speak.
You know man like I am sure that Mr.Lee is an intelligent dude and doing what the roles call for.Like once you get the rhytm its not a bad show.
