Did you know that in 1949, Republic issued a (short-lived) series of cartoons to accompany their features? I didn't. Until now!

That's a pretty good cartoon. Sort of like Jay Ward's Fractured Fairytales.

Bob Clampett's cartoon for Republic, "It's a Grand Old Nag", is very good too. He got mostly Lantz animators (Ed Love, Emery Hawkins, Paul Smith) to moonlight for him.
