I certainly agree that The Bride Wore Black is nothing like Hitchcock. People keep saying it is, and that hurts the movie -- if you go in expecting suspense, you'll be disappointed. Obsession is just a cheap Hitch knockoff. I tried to watch it again, and I doubt if I lasted ten minutes. Life is too short to waste any more time on Brian De Palma. Scarface was fun in a twisted way because it was such a horrible remake of a great film, but I don't need to watch that again either. |
