Richard Valley, publisher & editor of Scarlet Street & creator of the Scarlet Street Forum on the internet passed away last Friday (Oct 12). He was 58 years old!!

Devastating news to hear. I like Scarlet Street--I just wish its deadlines were a bit tighter.

And of course, Valley's notes for the Sherlock Holmes collections were first-rate.
