Several Warner 1930's cartoons have this joke: when a guy is dancing with a girl he looks over and says, "Look fellows - I'm dancin' I'm dancin'!" Does anyone know where that comes from? |

I know Jerry the Mouse says it in Anchors Aweigh (1945)--but that would predate your timeframe of the 1930s. So I will cheerfully admit...I'm stumped. |

No need to be sorry--I wrote that in a hurry, and you were right to call me on it. Keeps me honest.

It seems to me that Huntz Hall used that line once after his gyrations are called dancing, but I can't for the life of me remember the context or the movie. Sorry, but I'm old. |

I seem to remember that line from a Stooges short (spoken by Cruly) but I can't be sure. |

I asked Mark Kausler and he says that's from Dead End Kids. Huntz Hall or Leo Gorcey says it: "Look at me, I'm Dancin'!" |

"Ghosts on the Loose" is an East Side Kids movie, not a Dead End Kids movie! |
