I've been on a Peter Wyngarde kick recently...and have just ordered a copy of this movie. While I'm waiting, anyone here wanna discuss it?

Do you like/dislike it, and why?

one of my favorites, i touched on this[no.2 behind curse of the demon] an excellent horror movie [ sort of the val lewton type] . wyngarde is excellent as the university prof who does not believe in the supernatural. based on burn , witch, burn by fritz leiber[ american title by the way] one of my highest thumbs up--filmed earlier as WEIRD WOMEN [ LON CHANEY] , WHICH WAS PRETTY BAD. HOW WYNGARDE NEVER SPLIT HIS PANTS FILMING THIS MOVIE IS BEYOND ME!--great flick--ralph g

The DVD -- I assume you've ordered the widescreen, British official DVD -- is excellent. I like this movie a lot, and have reviewed it at inthebalcony.com.

Well....no...I'm getting a DVR copy off of someone's old laserdisc... I'm not actually a fan of horror movies, I just want it because of Peter Wyngarde. B)

I didn't even know there was a widescreen, British official DVD!

...have reviewed it at inthebalcony.com.

Well, call me slow...but I've looked at the website and see no link for that review...or any reviews. :(

Can I get a URL?

It's not up any more. These things don't stay up forever, you know... that's why you have to check the site every day!

Bottom line was, the DVD was terrific, anamorphic widescreen, but no bonus material, not even a trailer.

You mean you don't? On my official membership card for ITB right there in the fine print it says I am required to buy Laughing Gravy at least one new DVD every month. I couldn't afford that so he let's me sweep out the balcony once a month.
