In case you've never experienced the debate of who should be writing cartoons... script writers or storyboard artists.... You're in for a treat.

Some passionate discussion over at Cartoon Brew

Michael Barrier weighs in with solid facts

I weigh in with some comments... The noisy ignoramous Stephen Worth pipes in with his first ever appearance in the comments section of my blog.

Steve Worth doesn't know what he's talking about. Ever.

Bob Jaques just sent over a page of a script from a Superman cartoon done at Famous Studios. I know Worth must be really stymied over that one because for some reason he thought Bob would back him up.

One of the few decent things I could claim of my blog is that it was free of Steve Worth comments. Now he's taken that from me. :(

Next time he does it, just ignore him and start talking about some obscure Russian cartoon from the fifties........it will drive him mad and he will sink back into the abyss..or Murania ;)

Well, that should finish that. But knowing Worth-less, it won't.

Ok, I'm probably in a minority here on this one, but I saw a new Goofy cartoon before National Treasure 2, having to do with him installing a new big-screen tv system in his home before the big game. Although the animation and voiceover talent was spot-on, I found it mostly uncomfortably unfunny. So did the entire audience I was with - including a lot of kids.

The classic Disney stuff is timelessly funny and entertaining. As much as I love to see the return of beloved characters, the writing has to be of a high level or else why bother?

Black Tiger-
I doubt anyone disagrees with that. I haven't seen the new Goofy cartoon, but my cousin said it was "SO STUPID. It was like TEN MINUTES LONG."

I've only talked to one other person who's seen it and actually mentioned it, and I think he was just happy that there was a cartoon instead of 10 more minutes of Moviefone and Coke commercials.

Wasn't that Goofy cartoon made for the TV industry or something like that? I remember seeing something about that on the electronics and home theater forums I frequent.

I don't know if it was meant to sell any products, but it was definitely intended for theatrical release.

I saw it the other day. It's a new cartoon for sure and it got some laughs. It was OK, If we want Disney to go back into the cartoon biz, I suggest that we not complain too loudly (especially if we haven't seen it). Comprendez, mes ami?

I'd love to see the cartoon, but I'd rather spend $10 to see Juno than National Treasure 2.

Oh, it wasn't nearly as tedious as the first one. There are worse ways to waste time. And these days $10 will buy you a couple of trout. Heckaroonie, fellers, we have to keep going to the movies or we will morph into blue meanies..
