Thanks LG. I really enjoyed going through the Marx Brothers' films again, and in order. That's one of my favorite luxuries of the DVD era, to be able to get nice collections of specific stars or genres at very reasonable prices. The current string of Three Stooges shorts is another great example of packages that you could only dream of finding 25 years ago.

Now if only the Laurel and Hardy catalogue would get a similar treatment.

Bret Maverick is involved in the greatest feat of Space Shuttle maneuvering since cousin Beau 30 years ago!

Clint Eastwood heads a great cast but did you recognise the ubiquitous Toby Stephens as a young Clint?

In honor of whartisname gettin' an Oscar, I watched A Bucket Of Blood last night. It was my 1st viewing. Funny and groovy, Daddy-O.

I have seen quite a few movies and boxsets lately. Those that I liked were Notorious, Taken and Knowing and boxsets, The Shield and The King of Queens, while the two movies that I had problems with were House of Dracula and The Mummy (1932). House of Dracula failed to get me going, aside from the nurse (not the hunchback :D ), there really wasn't anything going for me. The Mummy with Boris Karloff didn't inspire me as much as people say it was a true classic. But Zita Johann is beautiful, this is the first time I have seen her. :D

The Mummy is seriously Germanic, which is another word for slow, but it's gloriously photographed and you may like it more the second time. House of Dracula, though, isn't a real big deal. Fun if you're in the right mood.

I've been watching mostly serials and Laurel and Hardy lately -- fun revisiting "Them Thar Hills" and "Tit For Tat," especially. Wonderful stuff! Stan Laurel was an absolute genius, but you know, I can't take my eyes off of Hardy.

The serials are Cody of the Pony Express, Dick Tracy, King of the Mounties, Jungle Jim and Sign of the Wolf, the last serial I will ever buy from the Serial Squadron. They're all enough fun to hold my attention, and Eric's tinting isn't too awful. I may not finish that one, though; it's kinda marginal.

Just watched my brothers copy of Land of the Lost. I didn't despise it. But I'm glad I didn't pay to see it.
