The Kansas Silent Film Festival will be held February 22 and 23, 2008 in Topeka, Kansas on the campus of Washburn University

The line up includes:

Friday Night starting at 7:00pm

A Harem Knight - 1926 - Ben Turpin - 20 min.
Only Me - 1929 - Lupino Lane - 15 min.
The Kid Brother - 1927 - Harold Lloyd - Feature

Saturday Morning starting at 10:00am

Jack The Kisser - 1913 - Porter/Edison - 10 min.
Bad Boy - 1925 - Charley Chase - 20 min.
Clash of the Wolves - 1925 - Rin Tin Tin

Saturday Afternoon Starting at 1:30pm

Coney Island - 1917 - Keaton/Arbuckle - 20 min.
Leap Year - 1921 - "Fatty" Arbuckle - Feature
The Mothering Heart - 1912 - Griffith/Lillian Gish - 20 min.
Dancing Mothers - 1926 - Clara Bow - Feature

Saturday Evening Starting at 7:00pm

The Bond - 1919 - Charlie Chaplin - 5 min.
The Sinking of the Lusitania - 1918 - Winsor Mc Cay - 10 min.

The film Leap Year with Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle has never been shown publicly in the U.S.

I haven't seen any of the titles in the line-up, but I'd be there for ALL of them if the opportunity presented itself!!!!

The only dud is "The Bond," which is just a commercial without a single real laugh. Otherwise, a fabulously entertaining selection. And don't miss "The Mothering Heart," in spite of the title. When you see a Griffith movie on the big screen you realize how great he really was.
Life is just a bowl of cherries, it's too mysterious, don't take it serious...
