does anyone have a very good memory of the 1940's mummy series?----i am trying to get the name of one in which[the mummy may have moved to the states by nows, perhaps florida] in which a willie best/ manton moreland -like fellow screams out [after seeing the mummy walk] " the mummy's alive and he's dancing with the devil!" --does anyone recall this or is my memory playing jokes on me--my friends do not seem to recall this in any mummy movie, but i am sure it happened--ralph g

Well, it's hard to have a "favorite" when the guy's wrapped in bandages for the whole movie, so I'd go for Karloff. The Mummy's Hand, although too close to an Abbott & Costello picture (or at least a Brown & Carney) picture, is excellent. The others are generally fun B-movies. The Mummy (1959) with Christopher Lee as Kharis is my favorite Hammer film, too.
