Almost 2 weeks ago I was channel surfing Saturday morning on the 8th o' March. I spotted Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress on Independant Film Channel. Since I've been enjoying the Master's films, I thought I'd sit and enjoy this Sat morn in front of the TV. A well spent 2 hours. Last Saturday I had to work so.....cruising the IFC website for the first time yesterday, I see Yojimbo is on this Saturday at 7 am (CDT-same time slot as the 8th). Well damn, I just watched this film for the 1st time last weekend thanks to the fine idea that's Netflix. Next Saturday is Roshomon and I ain't seen it but it's on my Netflix queue, to be delivered around next weekend (yeah, it's comin' off of da queue). I check out next month and I find out that currently it is Samurai Saturdays. I don't know how long this has been going on or how long it'll last, but I know where I'll be Saturday mornings for awhile.

April 5th....Samurai Saga

April 12th....The 47 Ronin Part 1

April 19th.....The 47 Ronin Part 2

This is as far as the schedule goes. All times are 7 am central time and I notice that there's no East and West times, so if a film is showing at 7 am cdt, it'll show at 5 am pdt. Ain't life just grand!!!!!!!

Well it's not samurai but it's Bergman. Sunday 7 am CDT, IFC will show the film that was the basis for Last House On The Left.... The Virgin Spring. I've never seen it but it seems to be another Bergman film questioning Christianity like The Seventh Seal. Go ahead and bet your mortgage or your ass, whichever is costlier, I'm gonna catch it! Have I ever told ya..... Life is just grand ;)
