I've been enjoying season 1 of MacMillan And Wife lately. I enjoyed all of the NBC Sunday Night Movie shows when they were originally shown, but Columbo and McCloud have been shown so much on TV already, I almost know all the episodes by heart. I'll soon be purchasing the rest of the Macmillan series and the Hec Ramsey series as well. |

Get Smart and Green Acres have always been two tv comedy favorites. Now if they'd only come out with the Dean Martin Show... |

I'm not sure where he lives but a guy on an e-mail list I'm a member of has mentioned that one of his local stations is currently airing The Patty Duke Show. He is enjoying it and hopes they run it until they show all the episodes. |

Relaxed tonight with a couple of classic TV episodes. First, Mary is hounded by Lou Grant's sex-hungry nephew, the station's inept new cameraman. Then, Bob goes on a diet to lose 8 lbs. and struggles with hunger issues, particularly on the day when he cheats: "I felt like Bela Lugosi in a room full of necks." |

Just finished watching the entire first season of Get Smart (over the course of two weeks). Always loved it as a kid growing up and it retains its unique charms. I can still chuckle and enjoy Agent 86's exploits and his backhanded ways of accomplishing his assignments. The "cone of silence" gets a lot of use in season one. |

Watched a couple of TV sitcom episodes the other night; on Newhart, Dick, George and Kirk head to Boston to see a Celtics game, only Dick gets stuck out in the tunnel next to the bench and can't see a damn thing. When this originally aired midway through the first season, I thought it was the first episode of the new show that was as good as the previous Bob Newhart show. Then, an early episode of Seinfeld, and the first episode of THAT show that I laughed at a LOT: Jerry and Elaine go to a dinner party with Jer's family, and he insults the aged matriarch by doing a shtick about ponies. The next day, the old lady drops dead. Very funny stuff. |
