I know this is a long shot, but I'll ask anyway...

Maybe someone living in central North Carolina in the early '70's remembers this:

I was born too late to see any of the late nite horror movie hosts of the '50's and '60's that seemed to be everywhere on TV dials across the nation.

However, as a kid, I vaguley recall a TV horror host on a show called THE WEB. It aired on Saturday nights around 11:30 on channel 28 (in the Raleigh-Durham area). I think it was WRDU back then. The host was a guy totally covered with hair (like Cousin Itt from THE ADDAMS FAMILY). I believe he wore sun glasses. I also remember his "co-host" was a spider, that I think was a puppet.

Anyway, if anyone remembers ANYTHING about this (probably short-lived) show, please share here.

It seems that I spend most of my adult life either trying to recreate or remember my childhood (sigh) and that show is one of the blurry fragments in my memory bank.

Thanks for any help!!

Steve
