The Japan Society in NYC will be running a special event Wed June 25th. They will have a special evening with Teruyo Nogami, who was Kurasawa's script supervisor and first assistant from Rashomon (1950) through Madadayo (1993). She will talk about Kurasawa's creative energy on and off the set and how she supported him through his glory years as well as times of struggle. Any Balconeers in NYC during this time should check out this rare treat. (www.japansociety.org) |
