None of the four came up to The Dark Knight is all I'll say. I preferred the Burton one to the other three because it had a kinda unsettling feel that fit the old Batman comics. The other three looked like they were done by people who only knew the TV show.

Returning to the original topic, I have to say that Ed Wood is still my favorite Burton flick, with Sweeney Todd second, probably. Both were fine ideas done with considerable style. Sweeney is slightly marred by Bonham Carter's singing, but she looked great. Bet they had fun making it, and you just know they had a ball making Ed: Bill Murray, Johnny Depp and Martin Landau working on the same soundstage. Whew!

Overall I enjoy Burton's work as a producer and director. He's not 100%, but then who is?

My favorites: Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, Big Fish, Sweeny Todd, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands and of course Batman. Batman Returns also has some very good things in it (Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman for one).

Thought the Schumacher Batmans (Batman Forever and Batman & Robin) were scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Glad to see the Batman franchise back on point with Batman Begins and Dark Knight.

Good call BT, on Big Fish. I saw it when it came out on DVD, and told myself that I would watch it again in the future, but I've yet to do that. I will do it soon though. Speaking of Batman Begins, I liked Devito as The Penguin (as well as Michelle's Catwoman).

Agree with you on all points, BT.
