"Zarkov to Flash Gordon....Come in Flash!" Posts: 8,932 Group: Members Member #171 Joined: February 4, 2007	Grrrrr............I'm Bigfoot.....Grrrrr....... Well here I am at long last!!! Yeah! I heard a couple of mutterings of, "I thought he was dead...or worse!!" To you naysayers.........Well, there ARE Balconettes in the room. So I'll put that retort on the back burner......for now. It's been a rough two-three months. Nothing health-wise, but the 'puter was futzin' up and the few times I could check in were on a friend's machine. My niece gave me a tower that she had with a Windows ME--yeah, I heard it was crap, but what the hey? It was *FREE*...the price was right. I got hooked up with my cable company so now I have DSL and not dial-up anymore(or is that dial-DOWN to sleep mode??). The speed of the DSL is awesome, but I guess a lot of you already knew that. And you know what all of you can do for THAT thought!! My "appearances" were mostly in the poll section. Now that I'm back I have a LOT to say about some of the stupid ones. And there are plen-ty!! I hope Stony enjoyed his time as #2, cause he ain't gonna have it much longer. I plan to take back the title of #2. I'm taking no prisoners and the arcade is wide open. I also got hooked up to digital tv which opened a lot of new channels for me, but probably old ones for you with satellite dishes and better cable companys than mine. So I've got a lot to say about what I'm watching. The Balcony Challenge seems like fun and I aim to get involved with that now that I've got some new movie channels open. I want to thank all of you who sent me birthday wishes. Sorry I couldn't respond to them sooner. Andarius---better late than never....thanks, buddy. I was amused that Stony made the effort to checkout my profile and found that I'd left tracks....Good detective work, lad!! I was beginning to think of myself as the Bigfoot of the Balcony and being sighted like he does in the Northern Woods. So, I've somewhat stepped a bit more into the 21st Century. My next purchase--soon--will be a cell phone. My daughter wants one, and I think I should have one too in case of emergencies. It just irrates me so that my world is shrinking more and more each day and privacy is a battle to keep. So between watching tv shows, old movies and listening to old-time radio, and sneaking peeks at you guys, it has been a rather uneventful summer. Screw the Olympics, and screw the Election. A lot of to-do over nothing. I don't care for sports, and I am so UN-political, that unless Jesus was to come back tomorrow and throw his hat in the ring, I don't care WHO gets in that White Nut-House!!! If you ask me--and you didn't, but who really gives a flying woop-dee-doo--OBAMA-BIDEN sounds WAY too much like OSAMA BEN LADEN to make me want to get involved in the fiasco. I've seen that there have been several newbies simce June, so "Welcome you all...I wish you well. And also good bye, 'cuz that's probably the last we hear of you for a while." And just remember that the barf bags are not just a "cute" giveaway. Once you've tasted some of the treats at the snack bar, you realize how much of a life-saver they really are. Gravy doesn't believe in expiration dates. But just wait'll HIS comes up!! THEN he'll start thinking twice about them!! So...here it is. Not really a soapbox, 'cuz I'm not bitchin' about anything--well....not much anyway. But it could be one if I wanted it to......HEY!! Don't run out on me now!! I'm just warming up!! :lol: Just messing with your heads!! Just wanted to let y'all know that your biggest fear is back, I'm armed for bear, and who knows?.....Maybe I've got a few new tricks up my sleeve to help brighten up this dingy hole in the wall. :rolleyes: Now you can run. :lol: Okay, Andarius....you can sleep now....greypilgrim has come home. Gee...I could have made every sentence a new post and picked up some numbers THAT way.....hmmmmmm.......... Nah..I haven't got THAT much free time on my hands. Lucky for you. First of all, welcome back. We've missed you! I think I speak for all of us. Or most of us. Second, thanks for pointing out that name thing. I hadn't realized that; good catch. I personally am not voting for John McCain because his last name means "Son of Cain", and who wants a sumbitch like THAT in the White House? Not me, bub. I take that as a warning from God, to be ignored at the nation's peril.

Nostalgia blogger Posts: 1,228 Group: Members Member #40 Joined: September 7, 2005	I caught the intrepid Inspector Carr lurking around here the other night and so I e-mailed him to find out what was new in his neck of the swamp. He's been pretty busy getting another restaurant off the ground so it's kind of curtailed his postings but he told me hevisits every now and then to keep his hand in and will probably make "a humble yet full fanfared return next week." Just thought I'd let ya know.
