A fine fellow! - did you know he came to England to look for The Treasure of Monte Cristo, went to Mexico for The Treasure of Pancho Villa and had dealings with the Colossus of Rhodes in Rome?

But I never knew he did a TV series!

I wonder if it's going cheep? :D

I remember seeing Jesse James meets Frankenstein's Daugher and Billy the Kid vs. Dracula as a double-feature when they first came out. I was 8 years old. I thought they were terrible. I was impressed that they were in COLOR, though. I went to see B&W monster movies every week, so a color twin-bill was impressive. If I recall, they were both directed by William Beaudine, two of his final films. This was 1966.

When I think vampire westerns, though, I think Curse of the Undead (1959) with Eric Fleming and Bruce Gordon.

I wonder where we would've heard about that western horror double feature... Trailers at the movies? On TV? Newspaper ads? Hmmm. I don't recall if we saw them at the Colonial or the Loew's (later the Civic), but they wouldn't have been playing at our usual forum, the Forum. It was always a big deal to go see a new horror or sci-fi picture at the Colonial or the Loew's. I remember seeing Roger Corman's The Haunted Palace and another of his Poe films, Tales of Terror... I saw Children of the Damned (which was a sequel to Village of the Damned, a movie I didn't see until years later) and Hammer's The Nanny. Saw a few Hammer pictures, always as a twin-bill. Nightmare gave me nightmares. Godzilla vs. the Thing... NOW THAT was a terrific picture to me when I was a kid. I still like it a lot!

I never went to see westerns, though.

I've never seen it and it's LOW on my list of movies to see, but with that title, it could have a mummy, a werewolf and Abe Lincoln in it for all I know. :D
