For those looking for this film, or the other 9 that were originally part of Best Buy exclusives, they are now available in a 10-movie set, everywhere. Highly recommended.

Once the action got back to America, it was closer to one of those depressing poverty-row noirs where blue-collar gangsters scheme in empty garages. Even the female leads looked more like the producers' relatives instead of their girlfriends. Horror Island was way more fun. I suspect some of the Universal contract players decided to knock out an extra movie during lunch breaks on a Lon Chaney thriller, grabbing props and cliches from the warehouse next door. If memory serves, the climax hinged on a big obvious ax directly above a door with a coin slot. Gee, if I stand right here and insert the coin, something good will hap--
