Kirk Douglas was on the BBC this morning. Speech-impaired from a stroke 13 years ago, but still bright as a pin at 91, he was asked about Sarah Palin... <grins>She has nice legs...but as President, I HAVE MY DOUBTS Also there was 'When Time Ran Out...'(1980) with Paul Newman! On ITV1 in England in the small hours. Maltin's Guide was very rude and gave it a BOMB rating, but I thought it was HILARIOUS! Irwin Allen was spoofing his previous disaster epics and Paul Newman, James Franciscus, Ernest Borgnine, William Holden etc. try to keep straight faces as a dodgy-looking volcano erupts on a Pacific Island! On James Bond:The South Bank Show, Sean Connery talked about the Bond movie titles... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m24J_tHB_Rg The music goes dah-dah dah-dah dah dah-dah and you see Bond walking along and he turns to fire at the camera - that wasn't me in my first few films, it was a stuntman called ???.(sorry folks, I forgot his name!) I always laugh when I see that!

I've been enjoying the PSA warning of the dangers of buzz drinking and driving. You know -the one where the girl knocks her own front teeth out while dancing in place and trying to drink from a brew from a long neck at the same time? Nothing like tv that makes you think. |
