Kirk Douglas was on the BBC this morning.

Speech-impaired from a stroke 13 years ago, but still bright as a pin at 91, he was asked about Sarah Palin...

<grins>She has nice legs...but as President, I HAVE MY DOUBTS :D

Also there was 'When Time Ran Out...'(1980) with Paul Newman! :D

On ITV1 in England in the small hours.

Maltin's Guide was very rude and gave it a BOMB rating, but I thought it was HILARIOUS!

Irwin Allen was spoofing his previous disaster epics and Paul Newman, James Franciscus, Ernest Borgnine, William Holden etc. try to keep straight faces as a dodgy-looking volcano erupts on a Pacific Island!

Catch it if you can - I was taping the last 30 minutes at 3.00am when we got a power cut! :

On James Bond:The South Bank Show, Sean Connery talked about the Bond movie titles...

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m24J_tHB_Rg

The music goes dah-dah dah-dah dah dah-dah and you see Bond walking along and he turns to fire at the camera - that wasn't me in my first few films, it was a stuntman called ???.(sorry folks, I forgot his name!) I always laugh when I see that! :D

In The Simpsons, Homer rented a video of Paint Your Wagon and Clint appeared driving a wagon with his poncho a la For a Few Dollars More; he had an exchange with Lee Van Cleef and then they started singing!

Bart and Homer were appalled, lol!

I've been enjoying the PSA warning of the dangers of buzz drinking and driving.
You know -the one where the girl knocks her own front teeth out while dancing in place and trying to drink from a brew from a long neck at the same time?
Nothing like tv that makes you think.

I'm glad you verified that commercial--I saw the other night and woke up the next morning convinced I dreamed it.

Just did a search for the ad on You Tube. No luck, dammit all. Too recent to have been posted is my guess. I first saw it about 3 weeks ago. It'll be up soon. When I find it, I'll post it.
