I recently read on a Amazon forum that Warners is preparing a Vidor box to include The Big Parade and The Crowd. Anybody have anything to add to this? Mr. G? |

The only mention of such a box that I've seen has been in the head-scratching, WTF category, usually on the Criterion Forum or Home Theater Forum. I'd like to think Warners knows what a treasure it has in these two films (as well as in minor gems like The Patsy) and plans to do right by them. Maybe the Murnau/Borzage/Fox box and the recent Flicker Alley releases will convince someone that a compromise can still be reached between a corporation's sense of historical obligation and its dreaded bottom line. |
