OK, amalgamating the "winners" of the first two Worst Super-Hero movie polls, I present the "Top" 15 worst movies for a Round 2 of voting.

The number beside each pick is the number of votes it received in the last round. If there is a 0, they received no votes, but I wanted 15 choices so they made it into this round.

There are two new entries: HANCOCK and PUNISHER: WAR ZONE, both easily vying for worst super-hero movie of 2008.

I had to go with HANCOCK, which is an insult to both film and the super-hero genre.

I really thought that Daredevil should've been in there. Sorry to see it wasn't. :(

I can see your point there, Grimy. Though I did enjoy the Director's Cut of that film. Since we only get 15 choices, I had to decide which of the films that had no votes would make the 2nd Round. In this case, I felt ELEKTRA was a better choice (and a poorer film).

I voted for Flash mostly because it is one of the few in the list that I had seen. I won't dump on a movie that I haven't seen.

I'm going with Hancock. I agree 100% with Batman that this film is an insult. Really mind-boggling that millions of dollars went into this dreck. A truly mean-spirited entry into the super hero genre. The humor goes over like a lead balloon, too.

I voted for Batman And Robin again, I think. The main reason being the Batsuit with nipples. Whoever thought of that great idea should be made to wear a fake penis strapped to their forehead!

Yay!!!!!!
I got to vote for HOWARD THE DUCK - thanks, Bats!

Such a wonderful selection of wretched superhero movies ...FLASH GORDON, JUDGE DREDD, BATMAN & ROBIN... but MYSTERY MEN is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I've seen it 3 or 4 times.
Paul "Pee Wee Herman" Reubens as The Spleen aka Flatulence Man, Hank Azaria as The Blue Raja, Ben Stiller as Mr. Furious, Wes Studi as The Sphinx - they all kept me amused for my 90 minute investment. Plus, Tom Waits got to overact in it too.
And for me it's one of Greg Kinnear's finest performances post-Talk Soup.

I was one of the two previous votes for Judge Dredd. I haven't seen anything since to change my mind.

While many of these were based on comic books, there are several I don't even acknowledge to be "super-hero" movies. The Punisher is a killer, pure and simple...that's no hero in my book, let alone a "super" hero. I went with Catwoman myself...they just used the basic concept and didn't even use Selina Kyle, the original Catwoman. What was that all about? Horrible costume, too.

I'll go with Flash. They had to work their tails off to screw that one up.

I agree with that philosophy, SK. No matter how bad someone else tells you a movie is, you still have to see it for yourself, before you start giving out reviews.

Looks like we're not the only ones, BT. And HANCOCK is running a close second to the classless HOWARD THE DUCK.

You're welcome, Sir Mantan.

And, though not a "great" movie, I too have a soft spot for MYSTERY MEN. Come on, Mr. Furious? Frickin' hil-ar-i-ous.
