He was quite active on Grood’s site… & was fairly active, early on, at this site. I think he became a parent for the first time & then had no time left to share with us great unwashed. Ray Faiola – Sorta in the Riddle Rider mode. Had a lotta detail info. Loved his avatar (the Universal glass globe). Hasn’t been around here since June of 2008. WhoLitTheZ - I honestly don’t remember a thing about his posts… but any guy with the imagination to come up with that tag, must be good. Evidently was only active for 4 days: Sep. 4 thru Sep. 7 back in 2005. Vic Guan - Actually he can’t return… ‘cause he hasn’t posted yet. But, I see he joined up in March of this year. Has made some interesting posts over at Scarlet Street. C’mon Vic, speak up!! I was surprised to see my name mentioned. I don't tend to post a lot since I have a tendency to rant and get involved in feuds a tad too easily. I also like to read and get information more than I have to give. I have been reinstated at the Scarlet Street forums thanks to Kevin Shinnick and Ken Hanke, I have promised to be good and not cause trouble there. It is easy to keep that promise as a lot of the stuff that I objected to, no longer occurs at those forums. I also have been quite interested in the information on the Masked Rider and that whole issue of problems. And it is nice to see that my opinions are reinforced in regards to certain troublemakers who seem to get banned from site to site after they show up.

Vic, use the same avatar here that you use on Yuku & everyone will be afraid to get in a feud with you! Was your departure from the Street because of a disagreement with Richard. I know, when he was alive, I was afraid to disagree with him at all. I was relatively new & thought he would label me a spy with a double identity & kick me off... like he was doing with some others at the time.
	One martini is all right. Two are too many, and three are not enough.

Let us just say that Richard Valley and I did not see eye to eye on a lot of things. I find the current Scarlet Street community a lot more to my liking. It is funny, I just complained over at the Universal Army site about the poor customer service that I received from Filmland Classics in regards to the purchase of some back issues of Famous Monsters and the non arrival of issue 250 and have now been banned from that site. I never even posted over there. Funny on how things like that come about.

We have lost some excellent posters and I deeply regret it, especially my part in the case of one who took a generalization personally (but who has graciouly returned, to my relief). This board is my home on the net and I hate to see people flee. All I can say is I'm doing what's in my power to put things right. This remains about the most entertaining old movie board on the net, and all we can do is try to keep improving it. If it's a desert, post more cool stuff! That being said, I don't think these boards are nearly as dead as a certain older board with a webmaster who, in his infinite wisdom, drove all his friends away. In my experience, people on the web quarrel in the summer, fail to post much in the fall, but pick up again around New Year's Day. I am confident this will remain the case. Come back, Bat! We all miss you, especially me.

I for one, while not a fan of Noir, was interested in what the posters felt were the best- now I know where to start - and what to avoid.

You can't go wrong. I think you're a little hard on Loretta. I've seen some of the post-'35 stuff and it is no worse than a lot of other stuff that is contemporaneous with it. Ms. Young was certainly not a great actress but she was not a bad one either, just mediocre.
