Ah but what is "in time"? My own internal calendar is that it should be up prior to the first DVD "on sale" date of the month. For February, that is Tuesday, Feb. 3, so as long as it's up by then, I'm timely!

I put Feb 1st. Timely to me would be a few days before the 1st Tues, so Balconeers can plan accordingly.

I've just spent the past 2 1/2 hours going through the lists, weeding out the weedy stuff, putting everything in alphabetical-type order, writing my smartass comments, adding a few dumbass comments to balance everything out, assigning my BEST and WORST DVDs of the Month awards (a first, I think: the same company wins both) and now... I have to go. I'll post it tomorrow. See? Anticipation. You can't beat it. By the way, it's a really good month for stuff and I am especially delighted at the Best DVD of the Month selection... I am really lookin' forward to it!

I'll post it tomorrow. See?

Only 12 hours and 35 minutes (Eastern Standard Time) until tomorrow becomes yesterday.

The correct answer is either (a) or (b) (they're both correct) 'cause the calendar is now up!

Thanks, LG, always appreciated.

Unfortunately, this time, the wait was not really worth it. A weak month for releases. Not a lot on this month's list that I really, really want. At least I will save some Bat-bucks.

Ah well...30 days (at least) until the list for March.

I think there's some good stuff out there... interesting Criterions and man, I can't wait for that Gasoline Alley set. The Martini Movies are of interest, too. But in slow months, I use that as an excuse to fill in some of the gaps in my collection and buy some older Criterions, Warner titles I don't have, and of course Thunderbean Animation is always something to pick up. Oh, and vintage TV shows. The older DVDs are usually cheaper (I just ordered the multi-disc Harveytoons Collection from Amazon for less than $20).

Yeah, I like to take these slow months to fill in gaps, too.

I am also considering some of the new Criterions for this month, but want to check into the titles a little bit first.

The Gasoline Alley release also looks interesting, but again, I want to do a little research first.

Good releases or not, I appreciate the detailed list you provide each month, LG. Thanks.

You're welcome. It's the one thing I do for the website that actually seems like WORK.

I'm excited about that Gasoline Alley set 'cause if I'd ever heard of those films, I'd forgotten 'em. It's like discovering new 58-year-old movies I'd never heard of. My family's fans of Gasoline Alley, too... In fact, one of our cats is named Skeezix...

Well, at this point I am not too familiar with this Gasoline Alley? Where is it and what can you tell me about it, LG?

I am curious, now intrigue me.

It's a long-running comic strip that is kinda unusual because the characters actually have aged over the years, and what used to be li'l kids are now old folks. Kind of a "Mayberry, U.S.A." setting. Charming and a lot of fun.
