B) Thank Gravy - I am a big fan of Monogram! I spent too many Saturday mornings and late late Fridays nights with the Monogram "best" - and I liked Shhai Cobra- great atmosphere and nonsense story line- what more could you ask for?

The Charlie Chan series would've been just as entertaining - moreso, actually - if they would've dropped Charlie altogether and had #2 son and Burmingham Brown open their own detective agency. What a great series that would've been! Better 'n' Mr. Wong even!

Tonight's entry... Boy of the Streets starring Jackie Cooper! A good movie; I scarcely missed Wheezer, Mary Ann, and Chubbsy Wubbsy.

Thank you.... I think. I just spent a week watching nothin' but Monogram films. And wondering why I don't watch one a month in advance for seven months and just write 'em up, hold on to 'em for Monogram Week, and then post 'em - I'm so stupid, right? In any case, it is enough for most people to simply watch Cosmo Jones in "Crime Smasher" without having to watch six MORE Monogram films in the same week, right? Come to think of it, Cosmo is MORE than enough for most people.

Seriously, Monogram Week is always fun for me, and I DO love the austerity and dependability of the typical Monogram programmer - ya know exactly what you're gonna get for the next 62 minutes when you sit down to watch a Monogram film. I've gotten a lot of really nice comments from people, too, which I appreciate.

If I had my own "Classic Movies" channel, I'd leave the Bogarts and Davises and Cagneys and Hepburns to TCM and show stuff like this.
