In your present condition, it will probably be even funnier (if that's possible)!!

Everything on Adult Swim is prepubescent shit. I can't believe most of you guys are all over 35 and actually watch and like this retardedness.

Tell us what you REALLY think, Thad.
Life is just a bowl of cherries, it's too mysterious, don't take it serious...

Some of the artists from the Venture Bros have work in the Too Art 4 TV Gallery show which opened tonight in Brooklyn.
My partner Veronica is pals with some of the artists on the show-- and even got me some original Venture art for my birthday last year.
The show is witty, well written and a throwback to the great old Johnny Quest type of action cartoons of the 60s and 70s.

Robot Chicken has it's moments, and I've seen some really funny episodes, but some of them are just vulgar and I end up flipping the channel.

My only complaint with ROBOT CHICKEN is that they seem to be way too in love with graphic violence.

Of course, you also have to be previously aware of what they are parodying to get any enjoyment out of it. The other night they had the SPEED RACER segment I mentioned before & a fairly funny bit on Marvel's AVENGERS. Then came something that was clearly another parody... but I had no idea what the source material was.

As far as Thad's comments, the animation in golden age Warner's cartoon is obviously superior.... but I sure don't find ANY of the humor more mature than adolescent and most of it is (yes) pre-pubescent.

Most humor is pretty childish in its nature. Oh sure, you can compare Groucho's witty ripostes & Harpo's clever panomine against The Stooges head bonking & find the latter wanting. BUT, many people I know laugh at BOTH!!

Someday, Michael Scott on The Office will discover Adult Swim and will expand his workplace impressions to include Brock Sampson, Space Ghost, Brak and the Humping Robot.

I'm going to drink another five Diet Cokes and write a 2,000-word fan fiction on that idea. Then I'll get around to refuting Thad.

What cracks me up about Thad's post is that he references 35 like it's some mature age. I'm 51, and my humor grows more demented and silly by the year!

From the L.A. Times web site:

Friday night, the party people came out to play at the “Family Guy” pre-Emmy extravaganza at Avalon in Hollywood. A dapper Seth MacFarlane hosted the bash, accompanied by Ron Jones and his 44-piece orchestra, and the many open bars were well stocked with Belvedere and Jack Daniel's.

The night was especially raucous (and remarkably drunken), perhaps because of the fact that “Family Guy” was celebrating its nomination in the best comedy category, making it the first animated series in more than 50 years to receive that nod. Nobody seems to expect that it will actually win, but a significant crack has been made in the animation barrier.

"Best Comedy?"

That's enough to drive any sentient comedy fan to an open bar.

Hey, here's an idea. Why don't you & Thad go to the same bar, have a few drinks... and pat each other on the back for being so sew-fist-tea-kate-ed!!!!
