I haven't watched a serial chapter in over a month, and I'm due to watch one. With that said, I decided that next weekend I'm going to start watching this serial. I just like to type, then read what the hell I type, so I thought I'd try to do something different, and it'll be different. You might consider yourself lucky, and you might wonder about that lucky hogwash, and I'd tell ya that my high school teachers never got any written reports from me, so yeah, you're gonna get lucky! *L* Of course, feel free to put any remarks of your own, 'cause this won't be a Gravy blog, and I'm sure it'll never be mistaken for one. Picking off Stark's sons over the long haul was a bit of a change from the usual generic henchmen and/or candidates for the masked villain. Still, the only time I ever felt for the baddies was in the Phantom. Here and there the henchmen came across as sad working stiffs who even tried (unsuccessfully) to save each other's lives instead of just smirking and setting death traps. |

Oh Bat. Oh Bat. Whatever will we do with you? Cliff, I liked that about The Phantom too. The henchmen in Gangbusters are interesting too, but I can't say why without spoilers. Then of course there are the henchmen in The Spider Returns with their cute little paper hats -- for once a little fun in a henchman's life, but the Gargoyle quickly puts a stop to that. |
