Christopher Walken does what he can with the thankless role of Max Zorin, the nuttsy-cookoo villain, which isn't much.
says Gravy.

Roger Moore said in his book that Walken had a reputation for being difficult but he never found him so.

Moore's first two US TV acting jobs were in Robert Montgomery Presents in 1953.
He was chatting to Walken and discovered that Walken, as a child actor, appeared in Moore's second Montgomery show, The Wind Cannot Read.

Quite a coincidence.

I'll chime in.

OCTOPUSSY was one of the two worst Bond films (next to THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH).

A VIEW TO A KILL is a guilty pleasure and enjoyable. Not meant to be the best Bond film in the world.

Off the side, I just saw a Bond movie poster for this film at the Monster Bash convention this weekend and the going price was $225. An original from the late Roger Moore entries, folded, and at that asking price!!!

One of the pleasures was Pola Ivanova!

You can interchange 2 of the letters and get: Pola Inavova.

Stony, I think it's time to get the dosage adjusted on your meds. You are either taking way too much or not nearly enough...

Hey Andarius, if we band together, maybe we can find your interesting posts and my meds.

Hey Ol' Sarge Of The Cosmic Dust Rings: My psychologist won't up my dosage, 'cause everytime he shows me an inkblot, I yell out "WATCHMEN!", and he just shakes his head with a small tear in the corner of his eye.

Found it! B)

On View to a Kill, Roger Moore said his 'two leading ladies' were forever opening their handbags, taking out their lipsticks and mirrors, and checking their faces before each take - 'they were more interested in their appearance than their performance'; the crew were annoyed because they had to wait around, so saucy Roger filched said lipsticks and mirrors from their respective handbags on the sly.

Later, as was their wont, the girls dipped into their handbags and magically produced lipsticks and mirrors - it turned out they carried many spares! :D

Not Fiona Fullerton as Pola Ivanova, of course - she has natural animal magnetism - lovely when wet! :D

Have to say I liked Octopussy better than a View to a Kill. Yes, there was silliness, but it was mostly judiciously applied and never stooped to Moonraker levels. And while it was a bit over the top, it never reached the shamelessness of Moonraker.

Money aside, I suspect Moore would have chosen Octopussy as his farewell to the part instead of View.

Roger Moore said in his book he thought Octopussy would be his last, but when they offer ya millions to do another...

He was very popular with the Bond people and fun to work with, I understand.
