These sets look great! From tvshowsondvd.com: Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced the November 3rd DVD releases of Zorro - The Complete 1st Season: Walt Disney Treasures Limited Edition Tin and Zorro - The Complete 2nd Season: Walt Disney Treasures Limited Edition Tin. Each one is a 6-disc set with new, never-before seen bonus material that includes introductions by film historian Leonard Maltin, 2 hour-long Zorro specials per set, plus an exclusive Zorro pin and lithograph. These two collections are individually numbered, available in limited quantities and include a certificate of authenticity. Cost for each tin is $59.99 SRP in the USA, and CA $79.99 SRP in Canada. Below is a look at the front of the packaging for the 1st Season and 2nd Season sets, followed by a look at the front and rear sides of the studio sell sheet which we extracted those from: Here's the fronts: ![]() ![]() And a couple of the marketing posters that show some of the great extras that will be included: ![]() ![]() |

I believe there was a colorized first season set released before but it is much better to have them in the original black and white. |

I remember the colorized version ... it was "The Laughing Gravy Special Edition", I believe! |

If you have the colorized version, then you don't really have it at all. |

Considering I got Zorro season one a couple of years ago and it only cost $20, it works for me. |

If it's the colorized version of an originally shot in Black & White TV show, then you paid $21 too much. |

I have the colorized series. Ick. It seems odd to even have to say this, but kudos big-time to Disney for releasing the series in original B&W, uncut and unaltered. Thank God they didn't license it to Grood, right? |

I'll lkely purchase both seasons. I don't understand why they didn't release all 3 seasons. I believe there were only 82 episodes total. I believe Seasons 1 & 2 were 39 episodes each. I'm going by info on imdb. I don't think I misread the info. |

Chief, the "two hour-long Zorro specials" mentioned for each set in the press realease are the four hour long Walt Disney Presents Zorro episodes. So these two Treasures editions have all 82 Zorro episodes. |

Batman, I am hoping that they restore the original openings which featured annoucer Dick "The Robot" Tufeld saying, "The Walt Disney Studios Presents ....ZORRO...Starring Guy Williams". And some scenes for next week too, would be nice. When the Cesar Romero arc was first broadcast, they added, "Starring Guy Williams and Cesar Romero". These openings never appeared on the Disney Channel reruns or the colorized DVDs. amazon.com has the two Zorro Treasures up for preorder, for $41.99 each. After the low press run they did for the Dr. Syn Treasure, it may be a good idea to preorder now so Disney knows to have Zorro available in greater numbers. |

Here's a link to a website that has a lot of information on the history and production of the Zorro series...along with episode-by-episode credits and plot synopsis. http://www.billcotter.com/zorro/history-of-series.htm William Witney directed 11 episodes of the 2nd season plus 2 of the 4 hour-long entries. |
