Saw the sequel. Just as good as the first, which I found pleasantly enjoyable.

Only complaint is way too many vulgar words. Literally.
Husband agreed with me as we left the theater. But otherwise just as enjoyable as the first.

Fascinating piece by Roger Ebert, who has received criticism for hating this film (pretty much all critics hate this film). Be sure and read the comments that follow.

Oh, spend a couple of days reading them. They're worth it.

As the guy who got called a pseudo-intellectual on these boards last year, I read this stuff with interest. For people who don't do it, thinking is a crime.

About Transformers II -- even the trailer sucked out loud.

"Anybody who isn't as stupid as I am is an Elitist." I think I'll print that on a t-shirt.

With some, the problem is laziness, not stupidity; in either case, they're missing most of the fun.

I don't much feel like going TOO much into it... But without question, somewhere along the way in the 1980s (during the Reagan years) two things happened.

1. "I don't know all that much about it; others know a lot more about it than I do" became "My opinion, ignorant as it may be, is just as valid as anybody else's; if they are smarter than me, they're just elitist."

and

2. "There but for the grace of God go I" became "To hell with them; they're different from me."
