Dix knew a lot of interesting people and I hope he tells a lot, if not all.

I'd buy it in a flash if they didn't want so much money for it! $15 a book, that's about my limit...

It does look like an interesting book to read. I always liked the sound films of Richard Dix. I have some titles in my video library.

I wonder why it took so long for someone to write a book about his life. He died 60 years ago in 1949. That was the year I was born. Hopefully it will be available for purchase soon on amazon.ca.

$15 bucks is a limit? Wow! Most books centered on old movies and TV shows range an average of $20 to $25 depending on the thickness of the book. I have paid $30 to $95 for numerous books and they were well worth it. In fact, the past year I saw two different books on the same subject, each different thickness, ranging from $20 to $45 in price. I flipped through both books on the same weekend at the Western Film Fair and I bought the $45 book because it's well detailed and superbly worth every penny. Not saying $15 is too little or too much for a book, but I find the best books I ever read cost much more than $15. Bear Manor Media offers $20 and $25 and it's far better than McFarland Publishing that charges $45 on average.

I only buy in used bookstores. If a book's good, it'll still be good in ten years.

This must be a hefty tome if they charge that much for shipping. For comparison, shipping on my book is $2.
