I have a complete set o' those cards, Stony!
I HAD a complete set, but I don't know what happened to them. I can't recall if they had bubblegum in the packs or not.
I remember those cards. They were a lot of fun. The first set, which you posted a card from was a continuing story with Batman vs. the Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman. Later Batman series cards (with blue bat and red bat logos instead of black) told complete stories on one card. They probably came with that broken pink piece of cheap bubblegum as all cards did back then.

Some of those silver-age stories just weren't as great as we remember them, I guess. Checking my db, I see I have #68, purchased from dealer Donald J. Brown in 1976. Got a VF copy for 50 cents. What a deal!

From the pages you showed us, LG, I found the following very hip words or expressions which I haven't seen used lately:
Blue blazes
Lingo
Kooky
Half a hoot
By Gadfrey
Great Jasper
Daddykins
Finks
"Doctor of nothing!"
