Mouth Breather Posts: 10,354 Group: Members Member #13 Joined: September 3, 2005	A DVD from Amazon UK purports to restore Max Ophuls' most ambitious picture to its original form, never seen by the public. It's Region 2, but if it's as good as it claims it'll be out in Region 1 soon. I'll report. It's a movie I never loved, though it's hard to dislike: it takes Ophuls' masterful technique a little too far, and seems to have missing pieces. We'll see if this restoration changes my mind. God only knows what she did there, but I suspect it wasn't pretty. In any case she was both hotsy and totsy, sometimes simultaneously.
