Not funny, agreed. But some of them are interesting, in a weird sort of way. The musicals, for example, have gone from being played out on a stage in a barn (Roach days) to lavish Busby Berkeley-type numbers with dazzling costumes. The wartime propaganda shorts reflect the times. And I recall a short that teaches children to look both ways before crossing the street, not a bad idea. |
