Hey Panzer, You're welcome for the dvd's and thanks for reminding me what they were. The "Champion" tv series was pretty well done I thought and I simply love "Daughter of Shanghai." This and Shanghai Express would make a great double feature.
Monolith Monsters - underrated I think with great locations, effects, well done all around and totally unique.
Lon Chaney Jr - I like him best in Of Mice And Men and the Wolf Man. Something about his acting sticks with you and his voice is one of a kind.

Mort, the horror fanboys are a jejune lot. I oughta know because I used to be one of 'em. As to Miss Ankers, when a relative unknown attacks a much more famous person the motive could be jealousy, an emotion not unknown to the feminine gender.

I dunno.... She only seemed to be irritated by his behavior, on the set & off, when he had been drinking... which was frequently.

She related an incident at a wrap party where playful Lon emptied his ice cream bowl on the military uniform her husband was wearing at the time!

OK, point taken. I should have just asked. Any more horror stories from Miss A? I'm all ears.

When you say 'frequently,' don't you mean always? That's the tale I heard.

Saw the movie. I enjoy Tarentino but my hubby wasn't thrilled. I enjoyed it, but I don't think it was his best film. But certainly not a bad film and nowhere near the awful JACKIE BROWN. I enjoyed DEATH PROOF and this ranked up there with the enjoyable meeter. If PULP FICTION or KILL BILL isn't Tarentino's greatest film, we have many more enjoyable movies to come from him and I hope he continues his winning streak.

Loved the spaghetti western music in the film. Nice touch.
