Dr. Bob Mitchum is a sweet guy (he reads Elmer the Elephant to little girls in iron lungs) dating his nurse, Maureen O'Sullivan. Unfortunately for him, he falls desparately in love with pretty Faith Domergue, not know that her "father" Claude Rains is really her husband. When he finds out, circumstances leave Mr. Rains dead on the floor and Bob and Faith on the lam heading for Mexico. An excellent film noir. I don't wanna spoil any of the surprises, but if you haven't seen it (it's in one of the Warners Noir collections, paired with Tension), go watch it. It's a sizzler. |
