Dr. No and, IIRC, memorable in The Untouchables...

They'll go easy on me won't they, Mister Ness? - I'm a cripple!

Sure they'll go easy on you - they'll probably put a cushion on the electric chair!

Good actor and a good old age.

He will be sorely missed by Bond superfans as he is the first villain. Rest in Peace.

Always enjoyed Wiseman's work over the years. Particularly his Dr. No.

Loved it when he called Bond "a stupid policeman". He made that speech work.

Also Detective Story and The Unforgiven.

Mr. Wiseman was primarily a Broadway performer, so I doubt that we film-goers really got to see all his talents on display.

Loved him in DOCTOR NO but found many of his other screen performances -- especially his turn in DETECTIVE STORY -- annoyingly affected. He seems to have been quite well regarded, though, so I guess I'm a minority of one.
