I just finished Rodney's 8 disc Hec Ramsey series, with one episode per disc. Although the quality's somewhat less than I've come to expect from Rodney, it's still watchable and I kinda think ya take what ya kin get as far as these old TV series are concerned. If anything, I enjoyed the series even more this time around than I did when it originally aired. Being a fan of Richard Boone certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment, but I also enjoyed seeing the first season of McMillan & Wife again and hope more seasons are released soon, at least the ones with Susan St. James. When NBC first aired these rotating series' on The NBC Sunday Night Movie, I enjoyed McCloud and Colombo equally as well, but of course they've been rerun so many times, I practically know them by heart now. I'm not sure if there are anymore Hec Ramseys besides these 8 episodes I got from Rodney, but if there are I'd sure like to have them!

According to IMDB, there was a pilot made-for-TV movie and 10 series episodes.

Thanks JG. Funny, I never thought of looking there myself.

Yeah, there were ten of those. I have the same eight from Rodney. Having attended western film festivals, I can assure you that Rodney offering eight of them is REALLY rare because they are EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND. I think Rodney told me it was one of the few things that wasn't superb quality (up to his standards) but as a fan of TV westerns, I can certainly understand. And they are good and enjoyable.

I'm also enjoying the heck out of Rodney's The Dakotas. Another rarity. I couldn't believe anyone even remembered the show, let alone had copies for sale!

If anyone ever runs across the other two episodes and the pilot of Hec, please say so here!
