I am indeed a regular and will be there tomorrow with lots of good stuff for sale -- pulps, paperbacks, fanzines, videotapes, DVDs, and, of course, the last several issues of BLOOD 'N' THUNDER. The show is called "Pulp Adventurecon" but you can find lots of neat pop-culture stuff -- old and new -- for sale there, including many of the new pulp reprints.

One correction, though. Richie Halegua isn't a regular dealer; his brother Mark is. I mention this because their products and inventories are vastly different.

Hope to see some of you Balconeers there. The hotel is very easy to get to -- right off Exit 7 of the New Jersey Turnpike -- and tomorrow's supposed to be a crisp, sunny day. Perfect for a nice drive and an afternoon of mingling with like-minded folks. Since Pulp Adventurecon isn't a big convention, it offers a relaxed (and relaxing) atmosphere. It's actually my favorite one-day event of the year, in any hobby.

Back from the event. The selection from vendors was slim compared to previous years. Two of my favorite vendors were not there, sadly. I bought a Shadow reprint from riddlerider's table. I picked up a copy of PROMISES, PROMISES which appears interesting, among other stuff. Bought a few Shadow paperbacks from one vendor. Bought a pulp magazine that features the first Buck Rogers story (yes, before Buck Rogers was one in the comics).

Best surprise is Martin Grams who provided me a zeroxed copy of an UNPUBLISHED manuscript typed by Fran Striker titled "The Life of Tonto." It was all he said it was. Skimming the pages briefly, the final chapter in the book is Tonto, alone, wandering the plains and coming upon a Texas Ranger massacre. Hmmmm... I plan to dig into it this week. Hopefully I'll learn some stuff including Tonto's real Indian name. I hope it's revealed in the manuscript. Authored by Striker, it's a rarity Martin promised to get me when last I saw him.
